Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Firearmory is built so that your records stay with you. This policy explains what the app does with your
information. The short version: we don't collect it.
What Firearmory stores, and where
Everything you enter stays on your iPhone or iPad. That includes firearms, accessories,
ammunition, range trips, maintenance, NFA records, licenses, training, storage locations, photos, documents
and notes.
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- Your records are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Firearmory has no server that
receives your data.
- The whole database on your device is encrypted (SQLCipher, AES-256) with a key kept in
your device's Keychain.
- Serial numbers, NFA control numbers, trust names and license numbers are encrypted again
with a separate key that never leaves your device. They are shown only after Face ID or your passcode.
- The app locks with Face ID or your passcode, and hides its contents in the app switcher.
If you delete Firearmory, or use Settings → Erase all data, your records are removed from
the device. We can't recover them, because we never had a copy.
What we collect
Nothing. Firearmory contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party
data-collection tools. We don't know who you are, what you own or how you use the app.
When information leaves your device
Information leaves your device only when you choose to send it:
- Backups. A backup is a single file locked with a password you choose. You decide where it
goes (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop and so on). Without your password, nobody can open it, including us.
- Reports and spreadsheets. PDF reports and CSV files are created on your device and shared
through the iOS share sheet, to wherever you pick. Full serial numbers are included only if you choose that
and confirm with Face ID or your passcode.
- Feedback. "Send feedback" opens your own Mail app with your message filled in. Nothing is
sent until you press Send. The email contains only what you wrote, plus the app and iOS version if you leave
that option on. No inventory data is attached.
- Links you open. Buttons such as "Check market value" or our social media links open a web
page in your browser. Only the search words or page address are sent to that website.
Once you share a file or send an email, how it is handled depends on the app or service you sent it to.
Permissions the app asks for
- Face ID: to unlock the app and reveal encrypted values. Face ID is handled entirely by
iOS; Firearmory never sees your face data.
- Camera and Photos: only when you add a photo of an item, a receipt, a target or a tax
stamp. Photos are copied into the app's private storage on your device.
- Microphone: only while the shot timer is open, to hear shots. Only the times of the shots
are kept; the audio is deleted right away and never leaves your device.
- Notifications: for the reminders you turn on (maintenance, license expiry, battery age,
loans). Reminders are scheduled on your device; they are not push notifications from a server.
You can change any of these in the iOS Settings app at any time.
Subscriptions
Firearmory Pro is sold through Apple's App Store, and Apple processes the payment. We receive no payment card
details, and we don't receive your name or email from Apple.
To confirm which features you've unlocked, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service.
RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created for this app and your App Store purchase records. It receives none
of your inventory data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at
revenuecat.com/privacy.
Children
Firearmory is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date. Because Firearmory
collects no data, a change can't affect information we hold about you; we hold none.
